LAHORE:

Provincial Health Minister and PTI Central Punjab President Dr Yasmeen Rashid has said the federal government should immediately announce general elections, which she termed an inevitable step to save the economy of the country.

She expressed these views during a visit to UC 57 of NA 130. She also paid a visit to Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf activist Mazahir Ali Shah and prayed for his speedy recovery.

She also distributed awareness pamphlets about health cards during the door-to-door campaign and conveyed the message of Imran Khan.

Ali Aamir, Asif, Rashid Baig, Rana Naseem, Chaudhry Abdul Ghafoor Papp and other workers were present on the occasion.

The people of the area gave a warm welcome to the Provincial Health Minister Dr Yasmin Rashid with flower petals.

Criticising the role of the governor, she said the governor has become a puppet of the federal government as he could not prove neutrality through his actions.

Speaking on the occasion, the health minister said Imran Khan has given a terrible surprise to the federal government by dissolving the Punjab Assembly.

“Imran Khan is conveying the message of ‘Haqiqi Azadi’ in every street. Under the leadership of Imran Khan, the country's economy was going in the right direction. The federal government should shun oppressive politics and think about the people,” she remarked. The minister was of the view that health card was a landmark project of the Imran Khan government and in the first phase, universal health insurance was provided to 30% population of Punjab.
