Two die as car smashes into trailer

Nishatabad Police handed over the bodies of the deceased to their relatives after legal action

A speeding automobile slammed into a trailer at the Kamalpur Interchange on the Motorway, killing two people on the spot.

Moreover, six of a family, including two children, sustained injuries in the accident. They were transferred to the hospital by the rescue and Motorway Police.

Nishatabad Police handed over the bodies of the deceased to their relatives after legal action.

A family had been on their way to Lahore from Khanewal in their car when their vehicle smashed into a trailer at the Kamalpur Interchange on the Motorway, killing Shehryar, 20, and Aamir Basheer, 24, on the spot.

Khadijah, 20, Kainat, 9, Arzoo Basheer, 20, Anam Azhar, 16, and Meherban, 66, were taken to the Allied Hospital where their condition was said to be stable.

In the month of August last year, a trailer had hit a motorcycle rider Abdul Razzaq near the Khurrianwala Chowk on Sheikhupura Road. Abdul Razzaq had died on the spot.

In some other accidents during the same period, A qingqi rickshaw had hit Sarwar and his wife Yasmeen who had been riding on a motorcycle near the Jaranwala Power Station stop. They were shifted to the hospital where Sarwar died of his injuries.

Aamir, who had been perched atop a tractor trolley, fell off the vehicle and passed away on his way to the hospital.
