PESHAWAR:

Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (K-P) Chief Minister Mahmood Khan has said that PTI has emerged as one of the most popular political party in K-P and across the country, claiming that the ‘imported federal government’ failed in denting the political stature of the party.

He said that PTI has proved that it is the only party that is representative of the federation and is currently fighting corrupt mafias single-handedly.

While addressing different ceremonies to welcome prominent political figures from district Tank, Haripur and DI Khan, Khan claimed that PTI Chairman Imran Khan is the only hope for a prosperous and developed Pakistan.

Member Provincial Assembly from DI Khan Ihtesham Javed Akbar, ex-candidate of ANP from district Tank Ghulam Qadir Khan Battani, prominent leaders of ANP Malik Gulistan Battani, Haji Shumal Battani and independent candidate for tehsil chairman Jandola Haji Muhammad Aslam Battani called on the chief minister and formally announced to join PTI.

Similarly, Haji Muhammad Rehman from Ghazi, Haripur along with other political workers also announced joining PTI.

PTI provincial president Pervez Khattak, ex-federal ministers Ali Amin Gandapur and Umar Ayub, provincial minister Arshad Ayub, Barrister Muhammad Ali Saif, MPA Akbar Ayub and others were also present on the occasions.

The chief minister said that PTI will sweep the next general elections across the country and will form government with a huge majority. He lamented that the PTI government at Centre was deposed through a regime change conspiracy, adding that “imported rulers”, who plotted the conspiracy against a democratically elected government by citing inflation, have performed poorly.

“In fact they were never concerned with inflation or other public issues.

They only wanted to come into power to end corruption cases against them and protect their plundered wealth,” he remarked, saying that since the regime change at Centre, inflation is increasing with each passing day.

The chief minister maintained that during PTI government at the Centre, national economy stabilized and a number of public welfare initiatives were launched despite daunting challenges.

Ihsaas programme, sehat card, shelter homes, langar khanas, provision of financial assistance, nutrition programme and many more initiatives were taken despite Covid-19.
