A man and his two sons allegedly shot a young man and his friend dead on Jaranwala Road over an alleged illicit relationship with his daughter. Police shifted the bodies of the two victims to a hospital for a post-mortem and started raids to arrest the accused.
Police said 24-year-old Hasher Javed allegedly had an illicit relationship with the daughter of Riasat Ali, a resident of Jaranwala road. Hasher was asked several times by Riasat and his sons, Imran and Ghaffar, to end the relationship, but he did not stop passing by their house. There was a heated argument between Hasher and the accused earlier this week.
At around 10:30am, Hasher was passing in front of the Riasat’s house with his friend, Iqbal, when the dispute occurred. Imran and Ghaffar allegedly opened fire on Hasher and Iqbal and seriously injured them.
The victims were transferred to the hospital after receiving first aid, but they succumbed to their injuries. Police reached the spot and shifted the bodies of the victims to the hospital for post-mortem and started raids to arrest the accused.
According to SHO Saddar Jaranwala Inspector Rana Asim Khan, there was a quarrel with Hasher because of the victim’s relations with the accused’s daughter of the accused Riasat. Raids are being conducted to arrest the accused, the SHO added.
