A motiviational song, titled 'Aao Hum Kucch Aisa Karein / Acts of Humanity’, was released by a Foreign Service officer on Sunday to highlight the plight of the victims of Pakistan's cataclysmic monsoon floods, as the country's prime minister headed to Geneva to present their case to the world.

The song is an effort to highlight the flood victims' trauma and appeal to the spirit of giving and moral imperative of helping those in difficulty.

The track was launched in view of the Conference on Climate Resilient Pakistan being held in Geneva.

It was penned, composed and sung by Shakeel Asghar Malik, an officer of the Foreign Service of Pakistan.

The song, captioned in English as ‘Acts of Humanity’, is dedicated to the victims of recent floods in Pakistan and appeals to the spirit of giving and moral imperative of helping those in difficulty.

The soulful music track has been designed and recorded under the supervision of veteran music maestro Mujahid Hussain.

The track invites attention to united action by the international community to support vulnerable countries in confronting the devastating blow from climatic change.

The UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres, who is leading global efforts to take on the colossal challenge, believes that the world needs a giant leap on climate ambition.

Previously, Shakeel’s national song “Pakistan Tu Meri Jaan’ (Pakistan, you’re my love) had also made waves.

As a practitioner of public diplomacy and cultural representation, the senior foreign service officer has also to his credit a heart-warming music track “Rakhwalay Mere Des Ke” (Defenders of My Motherland), which is a passionate celebration of the Army Jawans’ selfless commitment to fight the enemies of the country including hostile elements and terrorists.
