KARACHI:

Additional and District Judge South has sought a response from the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) on the bail plea of late Dr Aamir Liaquat Hussain's widow in the case of leaking his objectionable video.

Defence counsel Advocate Liaquat Gabol submitting the bail application on behalf of Dania Shah, said, "my client was falsely implicated in the case to disenfranchise her from her right to inheritance."

Advocate Gabol said that Dania Shah did not make any video, nor did she make it viral on social media. Aamir Liaquat had never filed any complaint against Dania Shah in his life, whereas she is being implicated in cases to deprive her of her right to inheritance.

The court adjourned the hearing till December 20 while seeking a response from FIA on the petition.

As per details, Dania Shah was sent to jail on judicial remand by the court on the allegations of making immoral videos of the late Amir Liaquat. The case was registered by Amir Liaquat's daughter under the provisions of the PICA Act. FIA officials arrested Dania Shah from Lodhran.
