The Sindh Assembly passed the 2010-2011 finance bill on Saturday.


Sindh Assembly speaker presided over the session as opposition leader Sheryar Meher accused the government of spending billions of rupees on unnecessary expenses like furniture for government officials.


He said the Chief Minister had spent too much last year as Rs100 million were spent on unnecessary expenditure and this year those costs need to be cut down drastically.


During the debate the Chief Minister of Sindh, Qaim Ali Shah said that a helicopter for government use is a necessity


Jam Madhat Ali said that the government should travel by road and not helicopter to ease public finances whereas the CM Sindh maintained that a helicopter is necessary for reaching far away places.
