Chinese, local artists highlight Pakistan-China friendship

Folk musicians enthral audiences through live performances

A number of seasoned musicians from China and Pakistan enthralled online audiences through live folk music performances.

The concert was organised by the China Cultural Centre in Pakistan and Hebei Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism in collaboration with the Pakistan National Council of Arts (PNCA).

The jointly produced folk music concert aimed to promote the folk cultures of both nations and highlighted the bilateral friendship.

A statement issued in this regard said the concert went live online via chinanews.com and the official Facebook page of the China Cultural Centre in Pakistan.

Video speeches by senior officials from each country were also broadcasted before the concert, it said.

Chinese Orchestra of Hebei Song and Dance Theatre and a Pakistani folk band performed at the concert.

The performances by the Chinese artists included "Battling Against Typhoon," "Date Harvest" by Zhang Guoming, Wu Yahui, and Wang Haiyun.

Concert also included various different musical performances by other well-known artists from China and Pakistan.

The statement further read that Hebei Provincial Song and Dance Theatre National Orchestra is affiliated with the Hebei Provincial Song and Dance Theatre Performing Arts Co. Ltd.
