“We will not allow the creation of a state within a state, nor will anyone be permitted to challenge the writ of the government,” Khan said on Wednesday, adding that those who wanted to give up their anti-state activities to serve the country and struggle for its prosperity and development will be welcomed back.
Speaking to the media at an Iftar held at the FC headquarters in Quetta, Khan said the government is taking practical steps to retain peace in the region. “The governor, chief minister and home ministry have been asked to constitute a committee that will be authorised to hold negotiations.”
Khan said that some elements in the province were being used as pawns at the hands of unfriendly nations to create problems for Pakistan. He went on to cite the example of 13 rebels, hailing from Dera Bugti, who laid down their weapons and surrendered. “They pledged their support to the government,” he claimed.
Khan also urged the media to fulfill its role in garnering support against elements working at the behest of foreign powers to create unrest. “They are exploiting the deprived people of Balochistan by attracting them with slogans of independence,” he said.

Does Pakistan have any problem that isn't blamed on "foreign elements"? It's time to quit blaming others and get down to the business of fixing things.
“We will not allow the creation of a state within a state..."
How exactly did Pakistan form again?
Great Patriotism! Great Job Major Genaral!!! Pakistan Zindabad!
@punjabi victim I fully support your position. Our media has been trying to appease the baloch rebels and has completely forgotten the ethnic cleansing against the Punjabis. I am a Pukhtun and I support the rights of my Punjabi brothers and sisters.
@punjabi victim: completely agree with you
FC is all too powerful, and is the major contributor to the problem it self, they hobnob with all the undesirable elements in the province, I wonder if the problem it self can provide any solutions, and this gentleman who is in charge of the FC, what to speak of him, he is a true copy of Mr. Musharraf I wonder if he would one day take charge of Pakistan as he has all the elements of a dictator.
Yeah, according to the Establishment HRCP, Amnesty International, Human Rights Watch, etc are all lying and are part of a conspiracy against Pakistan and its 'patriotic elements'.
It would be more accurate if Major-General Obaidullah Khan had said "No one will be permitted to challenge the writ of the Army. Might is right. Whatever we say and do should go unchallenged. No one dare question us".
@baloch land:
Dear Brother what is the agenda of your movement? What you people want?
no time has remained for establishment to reconcile with baloch.the movment has shifted totally in the hands of youth, which are against of sardars, the mouthpieces of the government.neither any dollop of aid can turn the resistence movement down nor the use of force do so.
Main stream media is as anti state and anti pakistan as those afghan and indian sponsored tribal sardars
Wake up or face elimination
We have allowed anti state criminals working for our enemies free access to Pakistan. It's a proven fact that scores of Indian agents come from across the border from Afghanistan to destabilize and hurt Pakistan. We need to be prepared to seal the border with Afghanistan to stop this illegal money and the miscreants who are killing innocent Pakistanis. I am glad that more and more Baluch are joining the Pakistani army to stamp out the anti state criminals working for Pakistan's enemies.
over 200,000 punjabi civilians have been forced to flee from balochistan because of the ethnic cleansing of punjabis in balochistan, yet our media has remained deliberately silent over this.the punjabis were forced to sell their homes and shops at throwaway prices for peanuts. my family had been living in balochistan for 39 years, yet we were threatened and terrorised into leaving quetta. why has no anchor ever done a talkshow talking to me and my family? they always go around talking to the families of the missing persons but they never interview any punjabi victims of this ethnic cleansing?
Good Job. May god bless you and your honorable mission in uniting. Pakistan Zindabad!
