The Sialkot Social Welfare Department and other welfare organizations organized an event to mark the International Day for Persons with Disabilities on Tuesday.
Deputy Director (DD) Social Welfare Department Chaudhary Sharif Ghuman, President Rose Welfare Organisation Ashfaq Nazar, Chairperson of Safia Foundation Shamsa Kanwal, Focal Person for Disabled Persons Hafiz Shahid Raza and others distributed wheelchairs and white canes among differently-abled people.
On the occasion, DD Social Welfare Department said that the aim of the event was to highlight problems faced by differently abled people across the world and to emphasize their empowerment in society
