'Tich Button' makers did not omit anyone's scenes based on preferences: Writer

Producer Farhan Saeed shares Faiza Iftikhar's statement for 'whomever it may concern'

After certain actors' claims regarding their scenes in Tich Button being chopped off based on "personal preferences" reached the eyes and ears of filmmakers, the film's writer, Faiza Iftikhar, took to her social media handles to announce that Tich Button was filmed and released exactly as she wrote it.

Taking to her Facebook on Saturday, Iftikhar, in a Status, clarified that neither the director, nor the producers of Tich Button have omitted any characters' scenes to consequently reduce their screen time, and the casting of Tich Button was done after the script was finalised, making it impossible for anyone's roles to be increased or reduced based on biases.

The film's co-producer, Farhan Saeed, has also shared her statement on his Instagram Story writing, "To whom it may concern."

"Thank you so much for showing immense love and appreciation to Tich Button," stated Iftikhar. "However, there are a few things that I need to address," she added. "First of all, I would like to ensure that Tich Button was filmed and released just like I wrote it. The director or producers did not cut or exclude scenes of any character."

She continued, "Secondly, the casting of Tich Button was done after the final draft of the film. So, no one can claim that there roles were reduced or increased due to personal preferences. Thanks."

Earlier, Saeed, whose latest offering recently hit theatres, threatened to take legal action against anyone pirating Tich Button. The rom-com, which marks actor Urwa Hocane's production debut, stars Feroze Khan, Sonya Hussyn, Iman Aly and Saeed in pivotal roles.
