Tipu Sultan police have solved the mysterious abduction of a two-yearold girl from Karachi Administration Employees Housing Society within a few hours by recovering the abductee and arresting the alleged abductor.

The family immediately reported the incident to the police. A police investigation party immediately started a probe and collected video footage from the CCTV cameras installed in the area, according to SHO Khan.

While reviewing the footage, police spotted a woman walking away with a child before picking her up in her lap and entering a nearby street.

SHO Khan further said that the woman in the footage was identified as Shaista, a maid at a house in the area.

"Police immediately raided her residence in Baloch Colony and recovered Ramin from her custody," she said, adding that the girl's parents pardoned Shaista and police let her off.

According to SHO Khan, the accused Shaista gave a contradictory statement regarding the abduction before saying that she took the girl with her out of sympathy because she was wandering alone on the road.
