One-wheeling claims two lives in Haripur

Accident leaves three more victims critically injured

One wheeling and speeding on Saturday claimed two lives in Haripur while three others were critically injured.

According to police sources, two motorcycles collided with each other on GT Road, resulting in two teenagers' death on the spot while three others sustained critical injuries.

Both motorcyclists were one-wheeling at a high speed and when they reached Shah Maqsood, they collided with each other. They were identified as Sameeullah and Fahad, both were residents of Nikka Pa Haripur.

Rescue 1122 shifted the dead bodies of ill-fated motorcyclists and injured to District Headquarters Hospital Haripur where after completion of medico-legal formalities dead bodies were handed over to the family.

On the same day, a district and sessions court in Haripur sentenced a woman to life imprisonment and imposed a fine to the tune of Rs0.2 million for killing her husband.

According to the verdict, Additional District Judge Wajid Ali heard the case while Ajmal Khan Tahir Kheli appeared before the court as the counsel for the plaintiff. The verdict declared that the convict had axed her husband to death in 2019 within the jurisdiction of Narra Amazai police station in the Ghazi area of Haripur.
