BHAKKAR:

Seminars titled “Bhakkar Banega Wadi-e-Zaitoon” were held in Darya Khan, Barkatwala and Daliwala under the auspices of the Tehreek-e-Ehade Wafa, District Bhakkar.

Malik Zahoor Hussain Langah, Prof. Abdul Majeed Mazhari, Javed Iqbal Awan, Chaudhry Muhammad Shafiq and others delivered passionate speeches on the occasion. Three seminars were organized at the Government Degree College in Darya Khan, the Government Secondary School in Daliwala and the Dera Hashim Khan Marla Scheme in Barkatwala under the auspices of the Tehreek-e-Ehde Wafa.

A large number of farmers and cultivators from across the region participated in the seminars in addition to various political, social and public personalities of the region.

The main theme of the seminars was to highlight the importance of cultivating and nurturing olive plants and to shed light on the importance of olives in Islam.

Professor Hafiz Abdul Majeed Mazahari explained the importance of olives in Islam, while Malik Zahoor Hussain Langah informed the audience about full cultivation of olives and their benefits and shed light on their productivity and growth in detail.

The speakers said Zahoor Hussain Langah, vice chairman, and Safdar Hussain Langah, chairman of the Tehreek-e-Ehde Wafa, had been working vigorously in making the Bhakkar district a bright star of the country. The efforts that were being made in relation to olive cultivation were highly praiseworthy.

The struggle of Zahoor Hussain Langah and his colleagues for the cultivation of olives would always be remembered because the Pakistani nation has the ability to make the impossible possible.

There would come a time when Pakistan would be self-sufficient in olive cultivation, and the Tehreek-e-Ehde Wafa Bhakkar and the Zaitun Valley of Bhakkar would have a big part in it.

The hard work that was being done to make Bhakkar the Valley of Olives was no less than a blessing for the people of Bhakkar.

The young leadership of Bhakkar would set up a network of unique olive plant nurseries.

Zahoor Hussain Langah added that other problems of Bhakkar, including the conversion of Bhakkar into a tax-free zone, reconstruction of dilapidated roads and structures, schools, hospitals, and other social problems were among the top priorities of the Tehreek-e-Ehde Wafa Bhakkar. After the closing ceremony of the last seminar, officials of the host organisation and Prof Abdul Majeed Mazhari inaugurated a campaign by planting an olive tree at the Degree College in Darya Khan.
