South Punjab secretariat nearing completion

Additional chief secretary termed South Punjab secretariat an 'important milestone' in the development of the region

The work on civil secretariat of South Punjab costing Rs3.6 billion will be completed by August 2023 to facilitate the locals by solving their problems at their doorstep.

This was stated by the Additional Chief Secretary, Capt (Retd) Saqib Zafar, during a visit to the construction site.

The officials stated that the project was moving forward at full pace. The South Punjab secretariat is being constructed over 504 kanal of land. Houses for staff of the administration will also be constructed.

The additional chief secretary termed the South Punjab secretariat an “important milestone” in the development of the region. The efficiency of the officers would also improve, as all would find offices in one building. The design of the building would meet all the needs, he added.
