The Pakistan Medical Association (PMA) has written a letter to PTI Chairman Imran Khan, seeking the postponement of the former ruling party’s long march till 4pm on November 13 for the Medical and Dental Colleges Admission Test (MDCAT) that is scheduled for the day.

MDCAT has already been delayed by two months and the final date was issued recently. Lately, rumours pertaining to its postponement started circulating and were finally put to rest when PMC issued a statement last Saturday, confirming that the test would be held as per schedule.

PMC President Lt Col (retd) Ghulam Shabbir, in his letter, highlighted the delay, adding that if the test is delayed further, the school year for students will be wasted.

He also noted that students and their parents are worried about reaching exam centres due to protests in Punjab.

In view of these factors, the PMC chief requested the PTI chief to postpone the long march till 4pm on November 13.
