Guard kills colleague over personal dispute

Both guards were the employees of the same private security company

KARACHI:

A security guard was shot dead allegedly by his colleague in Tariq Road area.

According to Nizam, SHO Firozabad police station, the security guard had an argument with his colleague, identified as Muhammad Fakhr, son of Sher Muhammad, 40, outside a jewellery shop located on Tariq Road, near Liberty Signal. When push came to shove, he allegedly took out his gun and opened fire on Fakhr injuring him seriously, he added.

Both guards were the employees of the same private security company, the SHO said, adding that police have launched a manhunt for the suspected killer, who managed to escape from the scene.

Meanwhile, 36-year-old Ijaz, son of Barkat Ali, was shot and injured by muggers when he resisted a robbery bid in Orangi Town, within the limits of Pirabad police station. He was shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital.
