The chief executive conference has elevated the Rawalpindi District Health Authority from 36th to 12th grade for showing exemplary performance after evaluating 54 indicators in the treatment system of the district health authorities across Punjab.
The chief executive officer of the Rawalpindi District Health Authority got the second rank in terms of the performance of the CEOs in the province.
Sources said, 54 different indicators have been set for improvement of the treatment system in the district health authorities across Punjab, on which regular grading is issued to the district health authorities based on their performance in terms of meeting the indicators.
These indicators include the supply of medicines to the patients in medical centres, better condition of the buildings, ideal sanitation system, presence of doctors and subordinate staff, timely arrival on duty and doing their work with full attention, vaccination against polio, corona and other diseases, performance in anti-dengue campaign and provision of other facilities for treatment.
The chief executive conference to review the performance of district health authorities across Punjab was held in Lahore under the chairmanship of the provincial minister for primary and secondary health, Dr Akhtar Malik, in which the district health authority of Rawalpindi, which was ranked 36th earlier in terms of 54 indicators, was granted the 12th rank on a marked improvement in its performance.
On this occasion, the performance of the Chief Executive of the Health Authority, Dr Ansar Ishaq, was also evaluated and he was given the 2nd rank in the province.
Dr Ansar Ishaq, said that the credit for the improvement in the performance of the Rawalpindi District Health Authority goes to his team. “The hard work done by all the officers and staff in the campaigns against polio, dengue and coronaviruses has paid off. Our field staff worked wholeheartedly in the field and succeeded to control these diseases by developing a composite strategy and save people’s lives,” he said.
“The district health authority will make every possible effort to fulfill its every task in the future as well,” he added.
