Security measures for Chinese nationals discussed

A high-level meeting of senior police officers from across Sindh was held at the Central Police Office with Inspector General of Sindh Police, Ghula Nabi Memon in the chair.

The meeting discussed the security measures of CPEC and non-CPEC Chinese experts and other staff.

The meeting was informed that the protection of Chinese residents should be the responsibility of the sponsors, while the airport security desk was instructed to adopt appropriate measures.

District SSPs were asked to keep a contact with sponsors for the lists of Chinese residents coming to the province for work and they should also ensure their security. Karachi will receive 74 tracking devices, while the other Sindh districts will receive 37. A committee has been formed to improve and increase the effectiveness of the investigation department.
