HYDERABAD:

Sindh Governor Kamran Tessori has said the country can ill afford a ’blood-tainted’ march taken out with the sole object to achieve some political goals.

Talking to the media in Hyderabad the governor referred to the recent press conference of two top army officers who he said shared facts with the nation in order to prevent any destabilising events from occurring.

"The people of Pakistan are well aware as to who are creating crisis situation in the country and who are causing economic instability as well as the people who are trying to save the country."

Responding to a question about Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf ’s long march, the governor said one of the PTI’s MPAs has himself disclosed what his party’s ambitions are about the march.

He said Faisal Vawda’s disclosures about a bloody march to Islamabad should be probed by the national security institutions. He believed that the prevailing socio-economic condition in the country does not allow any bloodshed.

The governor also visited the shrine of Hazrat Lal Shahbaz Qalandar (RA) in Sehwan, Jamshoro. During his visit, the shrine was locked for ordinary visitors. However, the governor asked the local security to reopen the shrine for devotees while he was inside.
