In a heart-wrenching murder incident, a father of six children was shot dead over a minor dispute that developed over a brawl between
his and his neighbours’ children in the Quaid-e-Azam Colony area within the limits of Dhamiyal police station on Monday.
The opponents shot the victim first in the leg and continued firing for 40 minutes to prevent him from being taken to the hospital.
The victim died due to excessive bleeding and lack of timely medical assistance.
The relatives said that the deceased, Bakht Ali Shah, was 32 years old and a resident of Hangu. He was a father of four daughters and two sons.
On the night between Sunday and Monday, the victim’s children developed a dispute with the children in their neighbourhood and the deceased went to the street to find out the reason for the fight, where the opponents opened fire at him.
The family members alleged that the accused continued firing aerial shots which spread panic in the area.
Meanwhile, the Dhamiyal police reached the spot an hour after the incident and shifted the body to the District Headquarters Hospital for post-mortem.
Later, the body was handed over to the relatives after which the deceased was laid to rest in the local cemetery of Quaid-e-Azam Colony.
