‘Jashn-e-Multan’ kicks off

MULTAN:

The Jashn-e-Multan festival, organised by the district administration, began on Saturday to promote the culture of the City of Saints.

DC Tahir Wattoo inaugurated the festival by cutting a ribbon at Government Employees Housing Society.

Horsemen from all over the country participated in various competitions, such as tent-pegging, on the first day of the festival, winning grand prizes.

Speaking on the occasion, the deputy commissioner said that efforts were being made to enlighten the region through the cultural displays. He added that the two-day cultural festival would be made unique through various competitions.

Motorcycles and other prizes were distributed among the competition winners on the first day.
