A delegation of Pakistan-China Business Forum (PCBF), led by its Chairman Sheikh Nasir Ali, visited the Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ICCI) and showed keen interest in exploring business and investment opportunities in Pakistan.
The delegation discussed various ways of boosting trade and investment cooperation between Pakistan and China and vowed to put in joint efforts for facilitating business matchmaking and sharing relevant information about B2B events, exhibitions and trade fairs.
“PCBF is working to promote linkages between Chinese and Pakistani companies to enhance collaboration, joint ventures and investment,” remarked Forum Chairman Sheikh Nasir Ali while speaking at a gathering of businessmen.
“PCBF will bring more Chinese companies to Pakistan for joint ventures and investment in Special Economic Zones (SEZs) being set up under the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) programme,” he affirmed.
PCBF Co-Chairman Sheikh Ejaz said that the forum would cooperate with the ICCI in its efforts for setting up a new industrial zone in the region as it would help improve exports, reduce imports and attract more investment from China.
By investing in Pakistan, Chinese companies could export goods to African, Middle Eastern and other states, he pointed out, adding that a showroom would be set up in China to display Pakistani products in order to further boost exports.
