Suspected robber killed in encounter

LAHORE:

A suspected robber has been killed and two managed flee after an encounter with a Dolphin Squad team.

As per an FIR registered by Sub-Inspector Ali Hassan, he along with a police team was busy in patrolling when they came to know about the encounter with Dolphin Squad team. They rushed to the spot and found three suspects taking cover in a Haveli near a Pharmacy in Meerdad Chowk and firing at them.

The team also responded in the same fashion. After some time the firing stopped and when they entered the Haveli they found a person with bullet injuries.

His accomplices had fled from the scene. He was shifted to a nearby hospital for treatment where he died. He had introduced himself as Zahid Ali and identified Zahid and Saleem as his accomplices.

Dolphin Squad spokesperson shared that a Dolphin Squad team had responded to a call about the looting of citizens by suspects in Johar Town Ayub Chowk.
