BINGE THIS WEEK: She-Hulk: Attorney at Law

With She-Hulk, the Marvel Cinematic Universe has been trying to upend its standard superhero formula which many now say has grown a bit tiring. An equal parts chick flick and legal comedy, the show, which just released its finale on Thursday, features cameos from both fan favourites and some of the most obscure Marvel characters for those with a keen eye. The series also constantly breaks the fourth wall in the fashion of Deadpool and Fleabag as it tries to subvert audience expectations from the superhero genre. Pick it up for a change of pace from regular super-powered action.

PLAY THIS WEEK: Forza Horizon 5

Get ready to feel old. The acclaimed arcade racing franchise celebrated its 10-year anniversary this week, dropping loads of new content ranging from beloved cars to a new story that hearkens back to its previous iterations. For those that didn’t pick up the game at launch, now would be a moment as better as any other. For those that did, what better excuse to revisit one of the best open-world racing games available? Forza Horizon 5 is also available to those with a subscription to Microsoft’s Xbox Game Pass service for no additional cost.

WATCH THIS WEEK: The Legend of Maula Jatt

What may be perhaps the most-anticipated Pakistani film was finally released in cinemas this week to rave reviews. Featuring a stellar cast with some cameos from some Lollywood faces, The Legend of Maula Jatt aims to be one of the country’s purest action films to date. Packed with stylised violence, the movie would likely appeal to fans of films like 300. A relatively straightforward pulp revenge tale, The Legend of Maula Jatt also shows wisdom in mastering the craft of simple tales. Get your tickets now!

READ THIS WEEK: Troy by Stephen Fry

For those drawn into its myriad of fascinating tales, Greek mythology can become a bit unwieldy to keep chronological track of after some time. Nowhere is this more true than in trying to collate the various legends and myths that form one of the greatest epics the world has ever known – the story of the Trojan War. Celebrated British humourist and actor Stephen Fry uses his trademark wit to provide an excellent entry point or refresher on the subject. The third of his series on Greek mythology, the book retells stories from various sources to provide a comprehensive version of the fall of legendary Troy.
