Rangers, police arrest three suspects for mobile snatching in Landhi, Bagh Korangi

Sindh Rangers and Police, in a joint operation, arrested three suspects involved in more than 300 mobile phone snatching incidents.

According to the spokesman, the Sindh Rangers and the police, on intelligence-based information, conducted an operation jointly and arrested three suspects, Muhammad Abbas, Zafa Ansari and Imran Alam, involved in the mobile phone snatching incidents in the areas of Landhi and Bagh Korangi, Karachi.

The motorcycle used in the incident and more than 15 snatched mobile phones were also recovered from the accused possession.

During the preliminary investigation, the accused confessed to involvement in more than 300 robbery incidents and street crimes in different areas of Karachi. The accused used to sell snatched mobile phones in Korangi and Landhi areas by unlocking them and changing their IMEI number.

Raids are underway for the arrest of other accomplices of the accused.

The arrested accused have been handed over to the police for further legal action along with the motorcycle and snatched mobile phones. The spokesman appealed to the public to report such elements immediately to the nearest Rangers Check Post, Rangers Helpline 1101 or Rangers Helpline 03479001111 by calling or SMS.
