Capital gets 12 mediation centres

Aims to resolve civil matters of citizens in a just and timely manner

ISLAMABAD:

Capital police has established 12 mediation centres in Islamabad with an aim to resolve civil matters of citizens in a just and timely manner.

A notification in this regard was issued following the approval of Islamabad Commissioner.

The reconciliation centres have been established in the offices of sub-divisional police officers (SDPOs) in the federal capital.

These centres were set up on the special orders of Islamabad Inspector General of Police Dr Akbar Nasir Khan.

The mediation centers include Abpara, Kohsar, Bhara Kahu, Margalla, Shalimar, Industrial Area, Sabzi Mandi, Shehzad Town, Nelore, Sihala and Sadar police stations.

According to the notification, the reconciliation centres will work to provide immediate relief to the citizens and for prompt and meritorious resolution of their civil matters including domestic, property and transactional disputes.

The centres will consist of highly qualified and experienced members from various walks of life.
