CTD nails suspected terrorist

Law enforcers recovered weapons, four hand grenades and bullets from his possession

The Karachi police Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) along with the officials of an intelligence agency arrested a suspected terrorist during a raid at hideout in the Agra Taj area near the Maripur Road Railway Station, a spokesperson to the CTD said on Monday.

The suspect is a member of a proscribed organization, Jeay Sindh Muttahida Mahaz (JSMM), CTD spokesperson said adding the suspect has identified himself as Governor Kolachi.

Law enforcers recovered weapons, four hand grenades and bullets from his possession.

According to CTD spokesman, a brother of the arrested suspect, Zulfikar Kolachi, was killed in 2011 along with his accomplices at a house in Ibrahim Haidari area due to the explosion of a bomb they were planning to plant for terrorism.

Ibrahim Haidari police arrested his other accomplices. CTD officials are further interrogating the arrested suspect.
