AVLC plans operation in Balochistan to recover stolen vehicles

SSP says cell recovered 15 bikes and 462 vehicles until Sept this year

The Anti-Vehicle Lifting Cell (AVLC) of Karachi police has prepared a plan for a grand operation in Balochistan to recover vehicles stolen from the city. Balochistan police will assist AVLC in the process.

SSP AVLC SP Tariq Nawaz sharing details of the operation has said that motorcycles and vehicles are stolen from Karachi daily. Some reports have been received that many vehicles stolen from Karachi are in Balochistan, after which AVLC decided to conduct a grand operation in Balochistan to recover the stolen vehicles. Balochistan police will also accompany AVLC in this operation.

Tariq Nawaz said that various groups are committing crimes in the city, but most drug addicts have been found involved in the theft of motorcycles, while evidence of inter-provincial groups' involvement has been found in the robbery and snatching of vehicles. AVLC is dedicated to the safe recovery of all citizens' stolen vehicles. Groups from other provinces also enter the city and commit crimes. Such groups have also been identified. As per data, there has been a decrease in all kinds of incidents this year compared to last year.

AVLC, while performing well, has arrested 212 groups till September this year. A total of 4,211 accused have been arrested. The AVLC had 19 encounters with the accused in which five accused were killed while 24 were injured. Three thousand 15 motorcycles and 462 vehicles have been recovered until September this year. Many cases have also been solved with the help of CCTV footage.
