A man has been sentenced to death on two counts of murder. Anti Terrorist Court (ATC) judge Mian Muhammad Nazeer has awarded capital punishment on two counts to an accused found guilty of murder.


According to the prosecution, Muhammad Ali fired and killed his niece Sadia Firdos in front of the court of Additional Session Judge Jaranwala on January 7, 2011 when she was exiting the court.

The court found the accused guilty under Section 302-B of Pakistan Penal Code and Section 7 of Anti Terrorist Act and has sentenced him on additional charges of spreading panic and for harassing court officials during his trial.

The convict was also directed to pay Rs0.4 million as fine and compensation and was sentenced to five additional years in prison for using his pistol in public publicly.

Ali will get an additional 10 year sentence for harassing court officials and spreading panic outside the court.
