AIDS screening camp set up in Bahawalpur
The minister said that more teams were being sent to the flood-affected areas

On the special instructions of the Minister for Primary and Secondary Healthcare of Punjab, Dr. Akhtar Malik, the Punjab AIDS Control Program initiated a free camp for screening of HIV/AIDS, Hepatitis B, C and other diseases in Bahawalpur.
The camp is organized in collaboration with a local organization, OATH, and it provides free screening for HIV/AIDS and hepatitis B and C among other infectious diseases.
Dr. Akhtar Malik said that such free camps would be organized in the province in general and in South Punjab in particular. Free hepatitis B vaccine was also given to the people at the camp.
The minister further said that more teams were being sent to the flood-affected areas, and all possible assistance being arranged with the help of mobile teams to prevent infectious diseases.
