A large number of employees on Wednesday staged a protest demonstration against the Federal Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (FBISE) Chairman Qaiser Alam, accusing him of nepotism, corruption and malpractice.
The protesting employees, who staged the protest demonstration in front of the board office, also demanded immediate dismissal of the FBISE chairman, accusing him of ruining and destroying a well-reputed and independent board administratively and financially.
The protesting employees claimed that students could not get their due rights in the current examinations as, according to them, non-teaching staff were engaged to mark papers. They claimed that there was no transparency in paper-marking and students could not get the marks which they deserved.
The protesting employees demanded that the high-ups should take notice of the alleged nepotism and corruption under the nose of the board chairman.
In a statement issued to the media, FBISE Secretary Rao Atiq Ahmed said that “issues have been resolved after a successful negotiation with the protesting employees”.
