SHC issues written order in building collapse case

Sindh Building Control Authority (SBCA) officials determine that the construction is illegal

KARACHI:

Sindh High Court (SHC) issued a written interim order and commanded the DG SBCA to hold an inquiry on the petition regarding the collapse of a five-storey building in Surjani Town Sector 4D.

According to the interim written order, the Sindh Building Control Authority (SBCA) officials have determined that the construction is illegal. The court ordered the DG SBCA to conduct an investigation. The interim written order stated that select the police officers who were on duty during the construction. Disciplinary action should be taken against the responsible officers.
