Defence Day events held in Hazara division

Students, civil society members and officials attend rallies

Like other parts of the country, rallies and events were held in all major cities of the Hazara division on Pakistan Defence Day to pay homage to the martyrs who have sacrificed their lives for the defence of the motherland.

In district Abbottabad under the supervision of the Education Department and district administration, a public rally was organized by Water and Sanitation Services Company Abbottabad (WSSCA), TMA and traders which was heavily attended by the citizens and school students.

Led by Assistant Commissioner Abbottabad Saqlain Salim, the walk started from Muslim Commercial Bank and culminated at Press Club Abbottabad. The participants reiterated the commitment that the people of Pakistan stand shoulder to shoulder with their armed forces and will leave no stone unturned in rendering any sacrifice in any kind of emergency situation.

The district administration Haripur also organized a rally in connection with Pakistan Defence Day which started from Shiranwala gate and ended at Siddique Akbar Chowk which was led by Deputy Commissioner Haripur Fawad Khan. The rally was largely participated by representatives of civil society, administrative officers, media, teachers, students and citizens.

Addressing the rally, the DC paid glowing tributes to the heroes and valiant soldiers for their eminent sacrifices by making the Defence of the country invincible. Pakistan Defence Day was celebrated with enthusiasm on September 6 by District Administration Battagram and the Department of Sports and Youth.

Additional Deputy Commissioner Aizazullah, AAC Amirullah, Principal Government Centennial Model Higher Secondary School Fida Muhammad Khan, District Sports Officer (DSO) Muhammad Akram, District Youth Officer Alamzeb, school students and citizens took out a grand rally from government school which ended at Kutchehri Chowk, The speakers paid rich tributes to the martyrs of our armed forces. The participants raised slogans Pakistan Army Zindabad, Kashmir Banega Pakistan and also expressed solidarity with the Kashmiris.

Deputy Commissioner Battagram Muhammad Irfanullah Mehsud in his message on the occasion, said that martyrs never die, many people have sacrificed their lives to get this country and we salute to the martyrs of Pakistan and will never let their sacrifices go waste.
