A man stabbed his 40-year-old uncle, aunt and cousin reportedly over a property dispute in Mughalpura on Tuesday.
After the gruesome triple murder, the suspect identified as Shan Ali, made a call to his mother and informed her about the incident who then called to the police about the murders. Police reached the site of the incident and recovered the dead bodies.
Reportedly, the neighbors also came to know about the incident after they saw police vehicles barging into the house.
As the police entered the crime scene, they found the victim with several marks of stabbing with their hands tied up.
The deceased persons have been identified as Saqib 40, Maryam and Abdullah. Saqib was a rickshaw driver, Maryam, a housewife and Abdullah, a matric class student.
According to initial investigations, the murder was committed early in the morning as the victim had returned home in the early morning after driving the rickshaw.
Senior police officers including SP Civil Lines Awais Shafiq also reached the spot-on information and collected forensic evidences.
The initial investigations suggested the prime suspect Shan did not commit the gruesome murder bid all alone.
He was escorted by another suspect/s also.
Saqib had received a bullet injury in his head while Maryam had been stabbed multiple times after being tied up with ropes and Abdullah’s throat was slit.
The suspect must had made the family hostage on gunpoint before tying them up.
Police have arrested two suspects involve the murder. They have been identified as Shan Ali and Abid alias Mushka.
Reportedly, the suspect Shan was arrested after the mother of the suspect helped police trace him.
