At least 11 more people have perished due to floods in different areas of the country during the past 24 hours, the National Flood Response Coordination Centre (NFRCC) said on Tuesday.
The death toll from the worst flooding in the country's recent history now stands at 1,325 people with at least 12,703 injured.
The country's nerve centre for flood response stated that the rescue efforts by the armed forces continue in various regions of Pakistan.
Till now, 363 army helicopter sorties have evacuated 3,716 people from various areas of the country, with 131 people rescued in 25 sorties during the last 24 hours. The helicopters also delivered 32 tons of relief items to the flood victims.
In Sindh, south Punjab and Balochistan, 147 relief camps have been established with 284 relief item collection points for collecting and distributing relief stores for the victims.
At least 4,247 tons of food items and 439 tons of sustenance material and 2,163,212 medical items have been collected; of this, 3,570 tons of food, 379 tons of sustenance items and 1,778,212 medical paraphernalia have been distributed among the affectees.
Moreover, 232,811 ration packs and 1,617 tons of ration were distributed by the Pakistan army.
More than 250 medical camps have also been established wherein more than 97,000 patients have been treated across the country and provided free medicine for 3-5 days.

The navy has also conducted 41 helicopter sorties, rescued 12,176 personnel, provided 2,687 families with shelter, distributed 1,932 tons of rations, 2,532 tents, 300 kilogrammes of medicines and treated 28,250 patients across the country so far.
Meanwhile, the Pakistan Air Force has conducted 67 C-130, 69 MI-17, and 16 AW-139 air sorties, rescued 1,521 personnel, distributed 2,763 tents, 106,495 food packets, 1,161,113 kg ration, 134,486 litres of water, and established 16 tent cities where 7.85 million people have been provided food, dry ration and medical aid.
The PAF also set up 41 relief camps and 35 free medical camps where 27,156 patients have been treated. The air force helicopter fleet is engaged in rescuing flood victims and providing critical support in areas that have been cut off by land routes, added the statement by the NFRCC.
Major activity
The NFRCC further said that the construction of the Saggu bridge at N-95 in Dera Ismail Khan was underway and would potentially be completed by today.
Electricity supply was restored in Khuzdar, Balochistan, while the repair work on the Dadu-Sibi-Quetta transmission line was in progress. Gas supply was partially been restored in the provincial capital of Quetta.
Several roads remained blocked across the country, including the N-95 (Behrain – Laikot - Laikot – Kalam), N-55 for all types of traffic at Paroa near DI Khan, N-50 for all types of traffic at Saggu Bridge and the M-8 which was blocked due to a landslide in Wangu hills.
