KHUSHAB:

The position of headmaster in Daman Mahar Government High School Nalli has been vacant for about one-and-a-half years. Due to the absence of a headmaster, the future of students is in jeopardy. Despite many public complaints and requests, the officers concerned did not pay any attention. The parents of the students have appealed to the chief minister of Punjab to take notice.

The political and social personalities of village Nalli, while talking to The Express Tribune, accused the CEO of Education of Khushab District of mismanagement and carelessness due to which the post of the headmaster of the only Government Boys High School in the village had been lying vacant for about one-and-a-half year.

They said that due to the absence of the headmaster, the future of students of the village, which has a population of about 35,000, was being put into jeopardy.

Despite several public complaints and applications, the officers concerned did not pay any attention, due to which only 37% of the candidates who appeared in the matric exams were declared successful.

They further said that the condition of the school was very bad, and the head teacher had no control even over Grade IV employees.

They alleged that the teachers come to school two hours late every day and leave two hours earlier, and there was no one to check them.
