A property dealer was gunned down in the Mohra Chhapar area within the limits of Dhamial police on Saturday.

According to witnesses, the firing also caused panic prompting shop owners to shut down businesses.

They said that property dealer Bahadur Shah died on the spot after being shot by unknown suspects, while the assailants fled from the scene .

The residents immediately reported the incident to the police, on which SHO Dhamial police station Sub-Inspector Owais reached the spot along with a heavy contingent of police.

Police spokesman Inspector Sajjadul Hasan said that the deceased was a property dealer and a resident of Murat area of ​​Fateh Jhang. He added that

the police have started the investigation into the murder.

The police also called a forensic lab mobile on the scene, the spokesman said, adding that necessary evidence of the crime has been collected from the spot, after which the murder incident is being investigated from different angles.

The body of the deceased has been handed over to his family after fulfillment of medico-legal formalities.
