The second incident of murder was reported within the limits of Sadiqabad police station within 24 hours.
Armed men shot and killed a citizen named Imtiaz in Murghi Mandi area on Wednesday.
The police said that they have registered an FIR and the incident is being investigated from different angles.
As soon as the incident was reported, senior police officers along with a heavy contingent reached the spot. Officials of the Mobile Forensic Laboratory collected the necessary evidence from the spot and shifted the body to the District Headquarters Hospital for completing medico-legal formalities.
On Tuesday evening, PTI activist Majid Satti was shot dead by motorcyclists. The increasing number of murders in the area has raised serious concerns among the citizens.
Former MNA of PTI Sheikh Rashid Shafiq while talking to The Express Tribune said the deceased had no enmity with anyone.
On Wednesday police said that they have set up three teams to investigate Satti's murder.
