RAWALPINDI:

Armed men on a motorcycle shot and killed two siblings who were on their way home in a rickshaw in the limits of Sadiqabad police station.

Police said that unidentified targeted Noreen Akhtar and Riaz, who died on the spot. The police said that the woman’s 22-year-old son named Haider Ali also was gunned down a month ago in Islamabad.

The murder case of Haider Ali was registered at Khanna Police Station. Police in twin cities are looking into the case. A case of the double murder has also been registered.

Meanwhile, Rawalpindi Cantonment police arrested three thieves and recovered Rs130,000 stolen moneyand other items from them.

According to a police spokesman, three suspects named Syed Amir, Usman And Gul Muhammad had been sent behind the bars. Cantt. In a separate incident, police arrested three bike lifters and recovered three stolen motorcycles and other items.

Airport police arrested three accused named Owais, Farooq and Adnan and recovered three stolen bikes from them.
