On Friday, Deepika Padukone uploaded a poster of herself from her new project Mega Blockbuster. “Surprise,” she wrote in the caption, adding the hashtags ‘Trailer Out September 4’ and ‘Mega Blockbuster’.
Rashmika Mandanna also dropped a new post on Thursday on her Instagram account. Her caption read, "Fun Stuff" with hashtags ‘Mega Blockbuster’. Rashmika can be seen clasping her hands together and smiling at the camera.
Similar posts have followed, including one by actor and comedian Kapil Sharma, actors Trisha Krishnan, Karthi, and cricketer Rohit Sharma. Kapil shared a poster of his character from the film on his Instagram, whose caption read, “Yeh wali mere fans ke liye (This one’s for my fans). Hope you all like it.” In the picture, Kapil can be seen folding his hands and smiling triumphantly at the camera.
Trisha Krishnan too, posted, “Cannot keep calm!" with the hashtag ‘Stay Tuned’.
Actor Karthi, who has also been revealed to be part of the project, shared a poster of himself on Twitter. His caption read, "Stay tuned to find out more...!" Additionally, cricketer Rohit Sharma shared a poster of the project on his Instagram writing, "Butterflies in my stomach. A debut of a kind.”
The new collaboration has left fans intrigued and excited. Many posts were flooded with various comments. One of Kapil’s fans wrote "Ab chalu hoga hasi ka dhamaka" while others dropped a myriad of heart and fire emojis.
Rashmika's post was full of heart and fire emojis. A Trisha Krishnan enthusiast wrote "Rohit, Dada and Trisha's trio" while another wrote "Rohit uh Trisha favourite player favourite heroine" paired with a heart emoji. As indicated by the numerous social media posts by the actors, the Mega Blockbuster trailer will be released on September 4. However, it is unclear whether it will be a film or a series.
