Internet cafes polluting young minds and depriving children of ethics, says police

ISLAMABAD:

Police sealed two Internet cafes for allegedly showing pornographic videos to children during raids carried out on Wednesday.

Police also claimed to have arrested two suspects during raids at a gaming zone and Internet centres in Pirwadhai areas on Wednesday. They also recovered porn videos, computers and devices from two centres.

The police said that the internet cafes were polluting young minds and depriving children and youth of ethics by showing them pornographic videos at the centres.

According to the police, they conducted raids after receiving information that these centres were spreading immorality among the youth and children through immoral activities in the gaming zone and Internet centres in the vicinity of Awan Chowk.

During the raid, police arrested a man named Usman who disclosed that the center is owned by Nizam.

Later, another raid was carried out at Saigol Gaming Zone Internet Centre near Awan Chowk, from where Wilayat Shah was arrested and indecent videos and equipment were recovered.

SHO Pirwadhai Aizaz Azim said that cases have been registered against the suspects. He said all the locations where such activities were being carried out would be traced out and those involved in it will be brought to justice.
