Pakistan Army has established relief camps in different areas of Karachi for collection of donations and essential commodities to be supplied to the people of the flood-hit areas.
According to sources, Pakistan army has set up four camps in District Malir at Bin Qasim, Falak Naz Chowk, Malir Check Post No. 5 and M-9 Toll Plaza.
Meanwhile, Pakistan Navy has extended its ongoing flood relief operation in Sindh to far flung areas.
According to a Pakistan Navy spokesperson, relief activities started by Pakistan Navy after the flood situation in Sindh has been extended to remote rural areas of the province including Gharo, Jati, Kandiaro, Chuhar Jamali, Goth Qadir Dino Shah, Jhuddu, Mirpurkhas, Saindad Village, Balu, Tando, Jan Muhammad, Naka village, Thatta, Sujawal, Kashmore, Dadu, Jango Jalbani, Qambar Shahdadkot and Sanghar.
Diving teams of Pakistan Navy are shifting the families from flood-affected areas to safer places through boats. The rescue teams of Pakistan Navy are also participating in the process of removing flood water in different areas using their resources.
