Pak Sarzameen Party (PSP) Chairman Syed Mustafa Kamal in a video statement on Tuesday shared his solutions to resolve the important and complicated problems of Karachi.
He said that the biggest problem of Karachi is water supply. "PSP will root out the tanker mafia because we are not corrupt," he said explaining that PSP will matierialise all the shelved water supply schemes of the city.
Kamal, presenting a formula to save the people of Karachi from electricity load-shedding and excessive bills, said that while canceling the license of K-Electric, they will issue electricity generation and transmission licenses to several companies. If there is competition, the services will be better and the consumers will benefit. While devising the procedure for cleaning Karachi, Kamal said that 12,000 tons of garbage is generated in Karachi every day but only one-third is picked up because the two landfill sites are six hours away from the city, so each truck can make only one round per day.
It is absolutely possible to collect all the garbage in the city if the garbage is sent directly to five garbage stations that are 20 minutes apart, then each truck will make 20 rounds instead of one to haul the solid waste to dumping sites. When the city sleeps, the garbage will be segregated at night and dumped at landfill sites.
