Congratulations are in order for Bollywood diva Sonam Kapoor and her husband Anand Ahuja as the couple welcomed their first child, a baby boy on Friday.
Taking to Instagram, Sonam and Anand made the announcement with a statement. The post read, "On 20.08.2022, we welcomed our beautiful baby boy with bowed heads and hearts. Thank you to all of the doctors, nurses, friends and family who have supported us on this journey. It's only the beginning but we know our lives are forever changed. - Sonam and Anand."
After months of pregnancy rumours, the Saawariya sta, in March, shared adorable pictures of the couple cradling the baby bump and officially announced the happy news on social media. Sonam also penned an emotional note for the upcoming addition to their family and revealed that the baby is due this fall.
Taking to Instagram, the Neerja actor shared pictures from her maternity shoot and shared that the blessed couple “can’t wait to welcome” the baby.
Sharing their love and excitement for their growing family, she wrote a beautiful message in the caption. "Four hands. To raise you the very best we can. Two hearts. That will beat in unison with yours, every step of the way. One family, who will shower you with love and support. We can’t wait to welcome you,” read the caption. She concluded the post with the hashtags #everydayphenomenal, and #comingthisfall2022 (sic).
