The bodies of three more persons who drowned in the Malir River have been recovered while the search for two persons is ongoing.

Earlier on Thursday, the bodies of two children were recovered and buried.

A car carrying seven people including a family and driver drowned in the Malir river at Damloti on Wednesday night. According to details, the operation of Edhi divers continued the search of drowned persons on Friday and recovered the bodies of three more victims. The scope of the operation was extended to Darsano Channu, about six kilometers from the place where the car drowned.

The bodies were identified as family head Zeeshan Ansari, his two sons Ayan and Abdul Rehman. The bodies of Hamna and Musa were found on Thursday. All the five persons were buried in the cemetery of Qaddafi Town, Qaidabad.

Memon Goth SHO Atiqur Rehman who was present at the accident site said that police were stationed on Link Road at the time of the incident and all traffic was stopped. Abdul Rehman was also stopped not only by the police but also by the drivers of other heavy vehicles but he did not stop.
