350k saplings to be planted in Lodhran

Each petrol pump owner agrees to plant 4,000 saplings

Deputy Commissioner Lodhran Roy Muhammad Yasir Bhatti announced that he will plant and grow around 350,000 saplings, under a spring plantation campaign across the district. During a meeting of the district afforestation committee, held to review the measures taken for plantation on district level, the deputy commissioner outlined concrete steps to promote plantation.

The meeting was attended by ADCR Azuba Azim, Additional Deputy Commissioner General Ahmed Faraz Awan, Additional Deputy Commissioner Finance and Planning Muhammad Fahad Anwar and district officers from other departments.

The deputy commissioner said 10,000 saplings will be planted by the Education Department, 3,000 by the Health Department, 500 by the police, 100 by the Excise and Taxation Department, 2,000 by the Agriculture Department, 3,000 by the Irrigation Department, 600 by Civil Defense, 500 by the Livestock Department, 250 by Fisheries, 2,500 by the administration and
1,000 by the Sports Department, among other departments.
