During a recent live conference with Imran Khan, many artists joined the conversation to send their praises for the former Prime Minister, as well as raise questions about future developments in his political career.

Actor and television host Faysal Quraishi offered his good wishes to the politician, saying “Assalamualaikum, sir. I hope you are well. Our prayers have always been for you. May Allah show you success once again. We are very hopeful and always with you.”

Television host and former actor Reema Khan also showered the former cricketer with praises, “When you entered the field as a politician, your character was right in front of us. What we noticed the most is that your words have remained consistent throughout. You experienced fame and great wealth at a very young age, but even then you never exhibited greed.”

Actor and musician Haroon Shahid solemnly added his take on the deteriorating conditions of the city. “There is one city in Pakistan for which I think there is no guardian or caretaker. I am originally from Lahore, but I have been settled in Karachi for the past couple of years. And sometimes when I visit certain places in the city, I feel like I’m roaming around Syria and Baghdad. Some streets and buildings are in such condition that it feels like a bomb has been dropped on them,” the Do Bol actor said.

Muneeb Butt reminisced his first interaction with Khan. “Assalamualaikum, Khan sahab. First and foremost, I would like to tell you that I’ve been a fan and a flag-bearer of yours since you gave a lecture in 2009 at my alma mater Iqra University. We have gone through difficult times during the era of MQM as well with your support, and hope for the same support in the future,” the Yaariyan actor mentioned.

Long-time actor Shagufta Ejaz added, “I would like to accredit you with one thing that you have always done from the beginning of your struggle, from even before you acquired your seat – you have given our people the awareness to fight for their rights. The entirety of the credit for this goes to you.”
