Two die in accidents in Thikriwala

One of the victims was a bicyclist who got knocked off by a car

THEKRI WALA:

Two persons were killed and as many injured in traffic accidents.

The injured were shifted to the hospital after provision of first aid.

Ramzan, 40, a resident of Nighabanpura, was cycling near Nighabanpura Gate within the limits of the Mansoorabad Police Station when a speeding car knocked him off.

A rescue team shifted him to the Civil Hospital where he died of his injuries.

Meanwhile, Saboor, 22, Safdar, 18, and Waseem, 20, were travelling on a motorcycle near Satyana Road 37 GB when their motorcycle collided with a donkey cart, leaving all of them injured.

They were shifted to the hospital after provision of emergency medical assistance where Saboor died of his injuries.

Nearly a week ago, a rickshaw overturned near 79 Mor in Thikriwala, killing three children who fell off the vehicle and into a pond.

Police retrieved the bodies from the pond and handed them over to their relatives.

Farzal Ali, a resident of Chak No. 139 GB, had been to the Darbar Baba Rang Ali along with his nephews in his rickshaw to offer prayers and respects.

On his return, the rickshaw lost control at 79 Mor, and the children fell into the pond.
