Hindus, Sikhs participate in celebrations at Gurdwara Siri Panja Sahib

HASSANABDAL:

A large number of Sikh and Hindu pilgrims from home and abroad participated in the three-day Rakhi Bandhan celebrations that concluded at Gurdwara Siri Panja Sahib on Friday.

The girls, while performing the religious rituals, tied rakhi on the arms of their brothers and offered special prayers for their safety and expressed their love for them.

Like every year, more than 500 Hindu and Sikh pilgrims from across the country came to Gurdwara Sri Panja Sahib, Hasanabdal to participate in the religious ceremonies of Rakhi Bandhan. Caravans from abroad also participated in the three-day event.

In the Rakhi Bandhan festival, a large number of Hindus and Sikhs from different cities of Pakistan along with their families came to Sri Panja Sahib, where women dressed in colourful turbans and beautiful dresses were seen celebrating the joys of their festival with great enthusiasm. The best arrangements were made for the pilgrims who came to participate in the fair.

Talking to the media, the participants said that on the occasion of the festival, local Muslims visit their homes and offer gifts.
